How do I pay for my bus ticket?
If you are paying the fare for a single ride, give the bus driver exactly $2 cash when you get on the bus. Multi-ride punch passes can be purchased with bus drivers or at our Operations Building at 6 Commerce Lane, Canton NY, 13617. Cash and exact fare only.
How much does it cost to ride the bus?
The fare for a single ride (one-way) is $2. Multi-ride punch passes are available at a discounted rate: 20 Rides – $36, 30 Rides – $53, 40 Rides – $68.
What if I need to transfer buses?
After paying the fare on the first bus, tell the bus driver which bus you need to transfer to and they will write you a transfer pass. Then give the transfer pass to the bus driver of your next bus. Transfer passes must be used within 60 minutes of the time they are issued.
Are animals allowed?
St. Lawrence County Public Transit allows trained animals that accompany individuals with disabilities. It is required to have the animal be under the rider’s control (leashed or unleashed), and remain with the rider without obstructing space for others. We maintain the right to exclude a service animal if it is not under control, is disruptive, or poses a direct threat to the health or safety of others.
Is there priority seating?
Please allow our senior riders and riders with disabilities to use the front rows of seating.
Lost or Stolen Items
St. Lawrence County Public Transit is not responsible for lost or stolen property. If you believe you lost an item please call our main office at 315-386-2600 to inquire.
Is smoking allowed?
Smoking and vaping are not permitted on board our vehicles or inside our facilities.
Are our buses ADA accessible?
Yes! All our public transportation buses are ADA accessible.
What to do if I lost an item on the bus?
If you have lost an item on the bus, please contact St. Lawrence County Public Transit at 315-386-2600.
Can I bring food & drink?
Please refrain from consuming food and beverages of any kind while on board our public transit vehicles. Closed beverage and food containers are permitted on board but may not be consumed while on the vehicle. Thank you for helping to keep our buses clean for everyone!
Do children ride at a discounted rate?
Children 3 and under ride for free.
